Job Title: AWS Architect
Type: Contract (C2C)
Location: Onsite Preferred (Peoria, IL) / Remote (CST) also accepted
Length of Assignment: Long-term 2+ years if onsite. Short-term of 4 to 6 months if remote
Interview Process: 1 internal + 1 client round (all video interviews)
Required Skills:
1. Java and AWS Cloud Native applications implementation
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements
3. Experience in Serverless applications using Cloud Managed services is desired
Nice to have skills:
- System integration experience with legacy and new technologies is desired
Job summary:
We are seeking a skilled Architect with 10+ years of experience in Java and AWS Cloud Native applications implementation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software architecture and design, with a focus on developing scalable and efficient Cloud Native solutions. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements and enterprise goals.
- Experience in Serverless applications using Cloud Managed services is desired.
- AWS cloud experience is a must
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of software architecture for various projects.
- Oversee the implementation of Java-based applications, Cloud native applications ensuring those meet performance and scalability requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation and design specifications
- Ensure that software solutions adhere to industry best practices and standards
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to architectural guidelines
- Identify and address technical risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that software solutions align with business goals
- Provide support and guidance on troubleshooting for production issues as needed
- Identify API object structure and build swagger specification for API implementation
- Continuously improve software development processes and practices
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies, tools and cloud native services
