ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer for a Direct-Hire, 100% on-site role in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will be an AWS expert with extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure within the AWS ecosystem. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services and tools, particularly with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, to efficiently manage and optimize cloud environments.
As an AWS Cloud Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure. You will leverage AWS services and Terraform to build automated, reliable, and efficient cloud solutions. The role involves managing Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the cloud solutions align with project objectives and best practices. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance of AWS services, troubleshooting issues, and continuously enhancing the cloud environment by integrating the latest AWS tools and practices.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- 5-8 years of professional experience with a strong focus on AWS, including:Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
- Expertise in Linux system administration, with a deep understanding of its role within AWS environments.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration within AWS.
- Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, particularly using Terraform for AWS deployments.
- AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative AWS-based solutions.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
- HIGHLY DESIRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED)Experience with additional cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python or Bash, for automation within AWS.
- Experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines in AWS.
