Summary Role / Purpose:The DevOps Engineer contributes to the development of software products and supporting systems. In this role you will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to accomplish development objectives.
- Key Duties and Responsibilities:Performs basic DevOps activities, including the maintenance, monitoring, and testing of product builds and packaging to provide quality production builds.
- Learns and employs best practices.
- Prepares, configures, deploys and maintains build agents.
- Work closely with development to adjust builds to changing product requirements and respond to problems discovered by testing and developers.
- Operates under direct supervision with work subject to frequent review by more experienced staff or DevOps Manager.
- Minimum Education / Certification Requirements and Experience:Required Education and Degree Type: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Required Minimum Years of Professional Experience: None
- Preferred Qualifications and Skills:Basic understanding of build management and continuous integration software.
- Possesses sufficient knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.
