DevOps Engineer IV

Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid, Onsite 2 days)

6-month Assignment (Great potential to extend)

Pay Rate: $77/hr.

On behalf of our client a Fortune 500 company, we are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have specialized expertise in DevOps, software development, and security practices, contributing to projects with significant business impact. Collaborate closely with the product security assurance team to implement requirements for SSDF (Secure Software Development Framework).

Key Responsibilities:

Integrate security tools and checks (e.g., static and dynamic analysis, dependency scans) into CI/CD pipelines.
Automate vulnerability scanning, code quality checks, and compliance validation processes.
Optimize infrastructure for CI/CD pipelines.

Education and Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer for 7-10 years with a lead role for at least 1 year.
Proficiency in CI/CD and version control tools (GitHub, GitHub Actions, Git), cloud platforms (AWS), and configuration management tools.
Strong experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
Implement branching strategies and code review processes to enhance code quality and collaboration.
Familiarity with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
System and Networking: Manage Linux and Windows servers, configure network services, and ensure system security and performance optimization.
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
