Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team for a contract position with the Federal Government. The successful candidate must have a Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance. will be responsible for implementing cloud components, building data storage solutions, and developing deployment pipelines. A strong background in deploying storage solutions, particularly Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) clusters, and integrating these solutions with Azure applications is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure and services to support data storage and processing needs.
Deploy and manage HDFS clusters, ensuring seamless integration with Azure-based applications.
Develop and maintain deployment pipelines to facilitate continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data architecture strategies.
Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in deploying and managing HDFS clusters.
Strong understanding of Azure architecture and services.
Expertise in data architecture and designing scalable data storage solutions.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps and building CI/CD pipelines.
Experience integrating Hadoop solutions with Azure applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Clearance requirement is enhanced reliability-mandatory
