As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring stable operations of Microsoft Cloud Operations, maintaining standards and practices in Digital’s Microsoft Cloud environment and proactively configuring changes to minimize operational disruptions and oversight of cloud services that are used by the organization. You will manage, control, administer, monitor, and improve the status of resources deployed in our Microsoft Cloud environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create and maintain cloud systems and processes.
Work with Microsoft to analyze issues and create solutions based on best practices.
Identify and implement automated solutions to support operational and development efforts.
Monitor and manage Microsoft Cloud environment.
Work independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems.
Maintain high standards of cloud operational quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
Communicate with internal team and internal customers to help with direct development, debugging, and testing application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness.
Responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
Support and administer Microsoft Cloud environments including but not limited to Azure, Power Platform, and Dynamics365.
Engage with business personnel including project managers, products owners, and end-users as needed providing well-rounded contributions based on strong cloud expertise.
Consult with solution architects, developers, DevOps engineers, security engineers and other team members to ensure a successful project delivery.
Contribute and review various technical documents including infrastructure as code.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

No degree with 12+ years’ experience.
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years’ experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Experience with Entra, Azure, and Power Platform administration through portals, CLI, and CI/CD.

DESIRED SKILLS:

IaC CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps Pipelines experience.
Experience with Terraform.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

Comfortable working in an R&D setting.
Ability to take on admin tasks when needed.
