DevOps Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Hybrid (Wisconsin-based)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support and enhance cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices for a modern, technology‑driven organization. This role focuses on building and improving CI/CD pipelines, managing infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure reliable, efficient delivery of software solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a DevOps professional looking for a contract‑to‑hire path within a collaborative and forward‑thinking engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline build, test, and deployment processes
Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
Deploy, manage, and support containerized applications, including orchestration with Kubernetes
Collaborate with software development teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance
Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and visibility
Develop and maintain scripts to automate operational tasks and workflow improvements
Manage source control using Git, ensuring version control best practices
Oversee configuration management to maintain consistency across environments

Required Qualifications

Proven experience with CI/CD processes and tooling
Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
Experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes
Scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar)
Experience working in cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments
Strong collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and logging tools
Experience supporting systems in regulated or highly secure environments
