Principal DevOps Engineer

This one's for the engineers who don't just maintain pipelines. They build the platform others rely on.

Our client is looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to own the DevOps platform strategy end to end. CI/CD architecture. Build systems. Release engineering. Developer productivity. All of it.

You'll be working alongside engineering leadership and architects to design pipelines that are secure, scalable, and built to last. Not patching what's there. Building what should be.

On the technical side, you'll need deep experience with CI/CD tooling (TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), containerisation (Docker and Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible). Scripting across Python, Bash or PowerShell is expected.

But this role goes beyond the tools.

You'll define standards that multiple product teams actually adopt. You'll reduce build times, introduce self-service capabilities, and integrate security practices (SAST, secrets management, dependency scanning) directly into the delivery pipeline. Frameworks like SAMM and SOC2 are part of the conversation.

On top of that, you'll mentor DevOps and engineering teams and influence decisions at a cross-team level. This is a role with real technical authority.

Bonus if you bring experience with Veracode, Akeyless, Vault, Artifactory, or Nexus. And if you've applied prompt engineering across the SDLC, that's a genuine plus here.

8+ years in DevOps, Build Engineering, or Platform Engineering required. Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field preferred.
