Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned and visionary DevOps Manager to take full ownership of the DevOps practice within our organization. The ideal candidate will lead, strategize, and continuously improve DevOps processes to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our development and operations infrastructure. This role demands leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This is a remote role, based in India.
Job Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end DevOps practice, driving strategic initiatives to improve
processes, performance, and scalability across the organization.
- Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and
deployment processes.
- Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalability,
cost-efficiency, and performance.
- Continuously assess and enhance infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools
like Terraform, Ansible, or similar solutions.
- Champion the adoption of DevOps best practices and standards across all teams,
ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor and measure the success of DevOps initiatives,
driving data-informed improvements.
- Drive automation efforts to reduce manual effort, enhance reliability, and increase
operational efficiency.
- Implement and enforce robust security measures, ensuring compliance and
protection of systems and data.
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure
alignment and integration of DevOps practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, cultivating a high-performing and
innovative environment.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, keeping the DevOps practice at the
forefront of industry trends.
Requirements
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years in DevOps engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Candidate Required Skills
- Proven ability to take full ownership of DevOps practices and drive continuous
improvement initiatives.
- Expertise in DevOps tools and frameworks (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab
CI).
- Strong experience in managing and optimizing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Advanced knowledge of IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and their application in
large-scale environments.
- In-depth understanding of security best practices, including vulnerability
management and secrets handling.
- Exceptional scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Strong track record of leading DevOps teams and delivering scalable, high-quality
solutions.
