We are looking for a SDE 2 (Devops Engineer) for our Engineering team to help shape our next D2C technology revolution.
Ideal Experience: 3-6 years
Reporting to: Engineering Manager - Devops
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Build resilient and self-recovering systems to sustain any component failures
- Understanding infrastructure and improve CI/CD pipeline, scripts
- Work with different pods and manage Dev, QA, PreProd environments
- Automate all manual tasks with scripts
- Monitor production environment and identify any performance issues.
- Maintain/document working knowledge of current infrastructure and recommend on future trends
- Troubleshooting multi/hybrid cloud infrastructure problems and provide feedback to different pods
- Build an automated Continuous Delivery pipeline that could be deployed in production
- Implement, secure and scale
- Lives by the devops principles and agile delivery
- Build an automated Continuous Delivery pipeline that could be deployed in production
- Build and help set up new tools and infrastructure to improve the dev team’s productivity
- Work towards 100% availability of our applications by putting in right monitoring in place
Must Have Skills and Experience:
- Experience as a DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer with proven experience in AWS
- Deep understanding of at least one modern Linux distribution and it’s package management system
- Good experience in writing scripts (Python, Shell, Bash)
- Programming language (preferably python or golang)
- Understand Unix system internals and understand creating CI/CD pipelines
- Understand of Cloud networking concepts and network security
- Have experience in systems monitoring design and implementation
- Have proven demonstration of owning production systems
- AWS, Linux, Ansible, APM, Newrelic, Jenkins, Terraform
- Have knowledge on Observability stack (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger)
Good to have Skills and Experience:
- Experience in setting up and administering at least one CI / CD systems like Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Travis
- Experience in Docker, Docker Compose / Swarm
- Experience on migrating traditional application to Kubernetes/EKS
- Knowledge on service mesh Istio, Linkerd
- Experience Setting up different pipelines for DR (Disaster Recovery)
Educational Qualification:
B.Tech/M.Tech/M.S/Ph.D in a relevant stream of Engineering
