The role pertains to the Platform Team in Aereo whose charter is to build and maintain our cloud-based enterprise SaaS platform, Aereo Cloud. Aereo Cloud is a powerful platform which enables organizations to store, manage, visualize and analyze their drone-based geospatial data at PB-scale and generate critical and actionable business insights based on this data.
You Would Be Part Of
- Building and managing cloud infrastructure to handle PB-scale data.
- Collaborating with software development teams to improve automation of workflows, infrastructure, code testing, and deployment.
- Automating repetitive tasks, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, and applying analytics across products.
- Designing and supporting secure and cost-optimized cloud architectures.
- Conducting security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Troubleshooting complex issues across the infrastructure and managing incident response and resolution processes.
- Creating modern automation solutions with ultramodern architecture and ensuring the maintenance and optimization of automation services.
- Showing systems that can receive help from automation, monitoring, IaC, and scaling products and services accordingly.
- Deployment and management of apps and services on our cloud infrastructure.
- Driving continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Developing and implementing strategies for cloud cost optimization.
We Expect You To Be
- Well-versed in information security best practices and secure architecture design.
- Experienced in managing various cloud infrastructure components such as databases, caches, queues, load balancers, and task schedulers.
- Skilled in logging, monitoring, and alerting systems and tools such as Data-dog, Sentry, New Relic, PagerDuty, AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, etc.
- Familiar with access control tools like AWS IAM, AWS Network Security Groups and best practices in network security.
- Proficient in managing data backup and recovery strategies, ensuring compliance with RTO and RPO requirements as per SLAs.
- Hands-on with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, Travis CI, etc.
- Experienced with containerization using Docker
- Skilled in deploying, managing, and watching AWS services like EC2, ECS, VPC, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, ECR, EKS, Batch etc.
- Knowledgeable in setting up and managing VPNs and proxies.
- Experienced in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation etc
- Proficient in Python and strong in computer science fundamentals: networking, databases, and distributed systems.
You Are Awesome If You Are
- Experienced in Container Orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiar with network security concepts like firewalls, DMZ, and SSL termination.
- Skilled in managing and scaling workloads in high-growth startup environments.
- Familiar with multi-cloud environments and experienced in deploying and managing workloads across multiple cloud providers.
- Experienced in on-premises deployments and capable of managing hybrid cloud infrastructure.
