Visionet is seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable and secure cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture, migration strategies, and optimization techniques, ensuring robust, high-performance cloud environments that align with business objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures to meet business needs.
- Develop best practices for cloud infrastructure, automation, and security controls.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance across cloud services.
- Assess existing on-premise and cloud environments to develop AWS migration strategies.
- Lead the migration of applications, data, and services to AWS using industry best practices.
- Ensure seamless integration of cloud resources with existing enterprise systems.
- Define security policies, risk management strategies, and incident response procedures.
- Monitor and optimize AWS resources for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Continuously analyze AWS usage and recommend cost-saving optimizations.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership for AWS cloud initiatives.
- Create detailed architectural diagrams, design documents, and operational procedures.
- Develop training materials and mentor internal teams on AWS best practices and emerging technologies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in IT engineering with a strong focus on AWS cloud architecture.
- Expert knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and AWS Security Services.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and database management in cloud environments.
- Experience with automation and IaC using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
This is a hybrid role based in the New Jersey office, requiring the candidate to be onsite at least three days a week in the Basking Ridge, NJ location.
