We are seeking a
Lead DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in
AWS cloud infrastructure, networking, and automation. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive technical excellence, mentor a team of DevOps engineers, and ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of cloud-based systems. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust AWS solutions while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and management of AWS infrastructure with a strong emphasis on networking and hybrid cloud connectivity
- Architect and implement hybrid network solutions
- Define and enforce best practices for AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and IAM security policies
- Oversee infrastructure as code implementation with Terraform (Advanced level) and ensure proper state management
- Optimize and manage API Gateway & AWS Lambda (Python) for scalable cloud applications
- Drive automation initiatives for infrastructure provisioning and deployments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align DevOps strategies with business goals
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to enhance system observability
- Lead and mentor DevOps engineers, providing guidance on best practices and career growth
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering with leadership responsibilities
- Proven track record in AWS networking (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Route 53 hybrid configurations)
- Expertise in AWS Organizations and SCPs for multi-account management
- Advanced proficiency in Terraform for AWS infrastructure automation
- Strong experience with API Gateway & AWS Lambda (Python)
- Deep understanding of IAM roles, STS, federation, and advanced policy management
- Hands-on experience with EC2, S3 bucket policies, and Lambda in production environments
- Intermediate proficiency in Python 3 for automation and scripting
- Experience managing agile development teams and leading DevOps initiatives
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
- B2+ English level for effective communication in an international team
Nice to have
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Security expertise in compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2, NIST)
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (GCP, Azure)
- Proficiency in additional scripting languages such as Bash
