We are actively searching for a seasoned Lead DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team, with a concentrated focus on AWS Cloud Networking and seamless Cloud-to-on-premises connectivity. This role is designed for a spirited professional who excels in active environments and is keen to guide a team in rolling out innovative cloud technologies. The chosen candidate will be pivotal in propelling our cloud operations forward and spearheading the development of inventive DevOps strategies.
Responsibilities
- Direct the planning and execution of automated network configurations in the cloud
- Manage the linkage of on-premises infrastructure with cloud-based platforms
- Enhance and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of our cloud resources
- Develop and uphold strict security and compliance frameworks for cloud operations
- Work in tandem with IT and development teams to ensure smooth application rollouts
- Lead ongoing improvements in cloud operations and infrastructure oversight
- Coach team members in the latest cloud technologies and optimal DevOps practices
- Identify and solve intricate technical problems in the cloud environment
- Oversee cloud financial planning and predict future resource needs
- Remain informed about the latest developments and innovations in cloud technology
Requirements
- At least 5 years of direct experience in DevOps Engineering, primarily with AWS technologies
- Minimum of one year in a leadership role managing technical staff
- Extensive expertise in AWS networking, including VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and Route 53 hybrid configurations
- Detailed knowledge of AWS Organizations and SCPs for proficient cloud account management
- Adept at using Terraform and other tools for automating AWS infrastructure
- Demonstrated capability in developing cloud-native applications with API Gateway & AWS Lambda (Python)
- Comprehensive management experience of IAM roles, STS, federation, and cloud security frameworks
- Hands-on experience optimizing EC2, S3 policies, Lambda functions, and other AWS services in operational environments
- High-level proficiency in Python 3 for scripting and automation tasks
- Strong background in agile methodologies, embodying top DevOps practices, and leadership of engineering teams
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proven history of effective cloud solution delivery
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2 level or higher, for efficient international team collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience in managing Kubernetes or Docker Swarm for container orchestration
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes
- Certifications in AWS or other relevant cloud technologies
