Financial industry experience
Job Description
Our client is the leading provider of wholesale asset finance and floorplan auditing solutions for the automotive finance industry in the US and Canada. North America's leading banks and finance companies rely on their best-in-class technology and services to facilitate wholesale lending and manage portfolio risk. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic SR DevOps Engineer that will be a part of our amazing team. They offer Hybrid/Flexible work arrangements. Applicants for the Development Operations Engineer position should live in the metro Atlanta area.
This individual should be experienced enough with Terraform, Ansible, AWS, and DevOps Practices to deploy and support systems through the SDLC process. You are comfortable in a broad range of applications and systems including Octopus, Jenkins, Git, Networking, Scripting, and Monitoring which allows you to implement and support an enterprise level application stack. You like solving problems whether they are big or small. There will be days where you deploy a client's upgrade to their existing stack, and others where you are helping them implement an SSO solution to our hosted applications. Occasionally there will be days where you spend a whole day investigating why something broke the way it did and how to prevent it.
Additional Notes:
- Strong background in Kubernetes, terraform, AWS, Jenkins, scripting
- Furthering deployment in CICD processes, there's a ton of technical debt- (one of the things we struggle with, our builds take a long time to build when they shouldn't, there's a lot of room optimize that, based on analysis can reduce by at least half, need someone to work on this year)
- Looking at other areas- empowered to find additional issues and find areas where things can be optimized
- Improving deployment times, resiliencies leveraging cloud native technologies
- One day going deep into Kubernetes, other days going and doing clean up deployment tools, refactoring build process which is out of Jenkins
- Identifying problems - being more proactive, as opposed to reactive.
Compensation:
$__140,000______ to $___150,000_______ per year annual salary.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
