Key Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer at Bizinso, your role will include:
- Designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and testing.
- Managing and optimising hosting environments, including LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), WildFly, and Spring Framework-based applications.
- Overseeing Java-based applications using OpenJDK 17 and OpenJDK 23 to ensure compatibility and performance.
- Monitoring and enhancing application servers like Apache and WildFly for better reliability.
- Automating routine tasks using scripting languages like Bash, PHP, or Java.
- Implementing and managing cron jobs and custom scripts for scheduled processes.
- Collaborating with development and QA teams to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery.
- Managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Performing regular system updates, patches, and backups to maintain compliance and disaster recovery readiness.
- Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and application issues efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Expertise in scripting languages like Python, Bash, PHP, or Java.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices.
