Position: DevOps Engineer
Location: HYBRID- Dearborn, MI
Type: W2 role
Pay: $68-73/hr
Position Description:
Lead of Team of DevOps Engineers to maintain, support and enhance our CICD practices.
Implementing and maintaining new Continuous Integration tools and infrastructure. Understanding the changing needs of developers and translating them into action items.
Creating new ways to automate and improve the Continuous Integration process.
Testing and examining code written by others
Identifying technical problems and developing updates and fixes
Working with other teams in the organization to ensure adherence to our best practices
Responsibilities:
Setting up, maintaining, and optimizing pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions)
Deploy updates and fixes as required to ensure Continuous Integration
Develop solutions to integrate with internal back-end systems as needed
Perform root cause analysis of development and production build and pipeline issues
Develop automation to enhance current processes
Develop new procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Skills Required:
• A strong foundation in System Engineering and Administration. o Linux o Windows
• Experience with one or more of the following scripting languages. o Bash o PowerShell o Python
• Experience with one or more of the following Version Control/Repository Management tools. o Git o GitHub o GitLab
• Experience with one of the following CICD tools. o Jenkins o GitLab CI/CD o GitHub Actions o Circle-CI
• Experience with one or more of the following Observability tools. o Prometheus o Graphana o Datadog o CloudWatch o Lens
• Experience with one or more of the following log management tools. o Elastic Stack o Grafana Loki o FluentD
• Experience with one or more of the following Configuration Management tools. o Ansible o Chef o Puppet
• Experience with one or more of the following Cloud Platforms. o GCP o AWS o Azure
Experience Required:
Experience 10+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or a similar software engineering role. 3+ years in a leadership role leading a team of DevOps or software engineers.
Experience with embedded systems build and development process preferred.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other applicable degree.
