The opportunity
As a DevOps & CI/CD Engineer (Staff 2/3), you will support issues related to continuous integration and delivery pipelines and infrastructure management. You will follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and runbooks while escalating unresolved issues to higher levels. Your role will focus on initial analysis and SOP based resolution, request fulfilment and ensuring the stability of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Incident Response and Troubleshooting.
- Categorize and document issues while following established escalation processes.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and apply known fixes from SOPs and runbooks.
- Fulfill service requests as per standard procedures.
- Maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines
- Manage artifact storage, version control, and security checks ensuring smooth CI/CD integration.
- Document resolution steps in ITSM tools and escalate unresolved issues to L3 team.
- Identify recurring issues and contribute to knowledge base updates.
- Execute automation scripts and assist in enhancing deployment workflows.
- Work under the guidance of Senior DevOps engineers to gain hands-on experience.
- Actively seek feedback and mentorship from senior team members to enhance technical skills and knowledge in AWS cloud technologies and DevOps practices.
Skills And Attributes For Success
- Basic Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (ArgoCD, Terraform, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC) and Kubernetes (EKS, Helm).
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow structured troubleshooting guides and document resolution steps.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 1-3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud operations, or IT support.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with ITSM tools.
- Basic scripting experience in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift-based support environment.
