Devops Architect

What is this role about?
We are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect with deep experience in banking platforms to lead architecture and technical design across the Discovery and Implementation phases for a modular, API-first retail and commercial banking solution. This role will work closely with Stack Digital, Monument Technologies, and end-client teams to define solution blueprints, integration pathways, and align business requirements with scalable system designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural definition during Discovery & Design phase, including:
- End-to-end solution architecture
- Integration maps across third-party systems and platform modules
- Alignment with Monument Tech’s existing AWS-native core stack
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical architecture, covering:
- Account servicing, onboarding, lending, deposits, and payments modules
- Client and risk data models
- APIs (GraphQL and REST), microservices, data flows
- Design high-level and low-level architecture artefacts including:
- AWS deployment architecture (ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch)
- Data integration flows (Kafka, PostgreSQL, Glue, Redshift)
- Security and compliance frameworks
- Support UX and product teams by shaping architectural guardrails
- Collaborate with Integration Specialists, BAs, and DevOps to define MVP scope, API contracts, and Dev environments
- Advise on third-party components (e.g. KYC/AML, payment gateways, fraud scoring) and their integration patterns
- Participate in technical governance, estimation, and handover planning
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in architecture roles, ideally in banking, fintech, or digital platforms
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- AWS stack: ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, Glue, Athena, Redshift
- APIs & microservices: GraphQL, REST, event-driven architecture (Kafka)
- Data pipelines & reporting: Redshift, Glue, Athena, QuickSight
- Experience with core banking systems, payment flows, KYC/AML, and account lifecycle management
- Proven delivery of discovery/design artefacts: solution blueprints, integration maps, API contracts, architecture diagrams
- Strong collaboration and documentation skills, able to work across clients, SI teams, and platform vendors.
- Understanding of security, governance, and regulatory frameworks in banking systems
