About the Role
The Microservices Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and highly available systems using Kubernetes and cloud technologies.
Must have Strong Python Coding experience, along with upgrading and migrating Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production-grade systems running in Kubernetes.
- Write infrastructure automation scripts or services in Golang, Python, and Bash.
- Manage cloud environments, especially AWS.
- Work in regulated industries or where compliance is key.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience).
- 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
- Proven track record with large-scale, highly available, and scalable systems.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (K8s), Docker.
- Practical knowledge in CRDs (Custom Resource Definitions), Operators, K8s administration and upgrades.
- Strong background in vulnerability management, infrastructure security.
- Familiarity with compliance regimes like PCI, SOC2.
- Deep understanding of AWS cloud architecture.
- Strong in Golang, Python, and Bash.
- Experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Adherence to test-driven development, unit/integration testing.
- Strong documentation culture (readmes, runbooks, how-tos, etc.).
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience at a product-focused tech company or large-scale platform.
- Open source contributions in Kubernetes-related projects.
- AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect or DevOps Pro).
- Experience in security/compliance-heavy environments (e.g., FinTech, HealthTech).
