Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS DevOps Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure initiatives and automation efforts. This role requires deep expertise in AWS services, scripting, infrastructure as code, and DevOps best practices. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on contributor and technical leader, capable of designing scalable cloud-native solutions and collaborating across teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Automation
- Serve as a subject matter expert for DevOps and automation in AWS environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools such as Puppet, Chef, or similar.
- Develop scripts in Bash, Python, Ruby, or other languages to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Enhance and drive automation and "Infrastructure as Code" delivery using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Maintain 100% automation coverage of core build and deploy processes using cloud-native services and containers.
Cloud Infrastructure Design
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure solutions in public cloud environments, especially AWS.
- Guide infrastructure projects from development through deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Participate in research and development to deliver complex cloud-native or hybrid solutions.
Collaboration & Enablement
- Work closely with Product Owners, Platform Teams, Solution Architects, and development teams to support continuous improvement.
- Participate in technical discussions and working groups with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Create and deliver technical documentation, system diagrams, and knowledge-sharing presentations.
Support & Troubleshooting
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex software and infrastructure issues.
- Provide BAU support for critical and escalated issues as needed.
- Manage and upgrade DevOps toolsets to ensure reliability and scalability.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with cloud services like AWS.
- Solid experience designing and implementing complex DevOps solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, AWS CloudFormation
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ruby, or similar.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
- Familiarity with Microsoft IIS and modifying web.config for security and performance.
- Solid understanding of web development principles and front-end/backend integration.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
