Position Overview
We are seeking motivated interns who want to gain experience in both Web Development (React JS) and DevOps Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building modern web applications, integrating APIs, and working with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tools. This hybrid role provides an excellent opportunity for candidates early in their careers to contribute to real projects while learning under mentorship across development and operations.
NOTE:
- This is a FULLY REMOTE & FULL-TIME (8 hrs/day commitment) Junior role (unpaid until completion of probation).
- Pqxel does not outsource any work to contractors, so please do not apply if you are currently working on multiple other projects.
Responsibilities
Web Development (Front-End Focus):
- Develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using React JS, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Create reusable components, manage state (e.g., Redux), and handle routing.
- Collaborate with back-end developers (Node.js) to integrate RESTful APIs.
- Optimize front-end performance for speed and scalability.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot front-end code.
- Stay updated with modern JavaScript libraries and development best practices.
DevOps (Cloud & Automation Focus):
- Assist in setting up and managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.).
- Support CI/CD pipeline configuration and maintenance (e.g., Jenkins).
- Automate application builds, testing, and deployments.
- Write and maintain basic Bash/Python scripts for automation and system configuration.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and respond to incidents.
- Ensure basic cloud security best practices.
- Document technical processes, workflows, and configurations.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of React JS, Node.js, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3) and Linux-based systems.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and Git version control.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and modern JS libraries.
- Basic scripting ability (Bash or Python).
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with state management libraries like Redux.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest) and build tools (e.g., Webpack).
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Basic knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus).
- Understanding of networking concepts and cloud architectures.
Compensation
- Unpaid internship during first 3 months (probation period).
- 3–6 months: ₹5,000 INR/month stipend.
- 6–12 months: ₹10,000 INR/month stipend.
- Project Commission: 1% of project Gross Profit (GP).
- Example: If a project generates $20,000 GP, you earn $200 (₹12,000 INR), provided on-time delivery and client payment.
Location & Work Schedule
- Primarily remote; attendance at local company events may be required if invited.
Timings
· All interns are required to work 4 to 8 hours per day, including internal meetings during fixed EST hours, and complete all required timesheets and documentation.
· Interns may occasionally need to work extended hours or weekends during tight delivery timelines.
- Timesheets and other documentation are mandatory for role success.
