We are seeking a technical leader to lead the DevOps transformation and drive engineering excellence for a large financial institution. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technically proficient professional who will champion the cultural shift towards engineering-driven practices, implement cutting-edge DevOps methodologies, and foster collaboration across engineering teams. You'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing strategic initiatives to create automated, cloud-native operational systems while eliminating manual processes and establishing new standards for operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
As a DevOps leader, you will spearhead the organizational transformation towards DevOps excellence and modern SRE practices. Your key responsibilities include guiding the evolution of CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration on Kubernetes, and driving process transformation initiatives to eliminate operational bottlenecks and automate manual processes. You'll foster collaborative environments across product engineering, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering teams while remaining deeply hands-on with architectural design, code reviews, and key technical decisions. Additionally, you'll act as a change agent, using your communication and negotiation skills to build consensus and drive adoption of new methodologies across the organization.
Requirements
We require a minimum of 12 years of extensive DevOps and SRE experience, with proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline automation, infrastructure-as-code, and observability. Essential technical skills include proficiency in coding, along with strong experience in Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and observability tools like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog. You should have expertise in cloud-native architecture and microservices, with experience in API management and security best practices. A proven track record of managing and leading technical teams is essential, with experience in mentoring engineers and driving organizational change. A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering is required, with DevOps and cloud certifications being highly desirable.
