Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to support our initiatives in developing and managing robust CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our DevSecOps processes, ensuring that all deliverables meet user acceptance criteria while adhering to security best practices. With a strong background in Azure environments and extensive experience in automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, and Docker, the ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor in implementing industry standards and driving continuous improvement.
Security Clearance: DoD Security Clearance of Secret or higher
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools.
- Ensure work product meets user acceptance criteria
- Manage self-directed assignments
- Meet schedule deadlines and commitments with a high-level of quality of deliverables
- Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for Cloud and DevSecOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights, and advice
- Recommend and implement industry standards
- Implement and ensure adherence to security practices and incorporate them into the automated pipelines
Requirements
Security Clearance: DoD Security Clearance of Secret or higher
Education, Certifications and Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline
- 5+ years of DevSecOps experience
- 3 years of experience with Azure and other Cloud environments
- 3 years of experience with application and operating system security
- 3 years of hands-on experience creating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Helm, Nexus
- 3 years’ hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform
- 3 years of experience with Kubernetes in an Azure cloud environment
- Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate strategic information security topics, policies, and standards as well as risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various organizational levels
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Certification in one or more cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
- Knowledge and experience working in DoD Azure environments

Compensation
Salary Range: $140,000 – $190,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.

Physical Demands
This position primarily involves sedentary work in an office or remote setting. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers to operate computers and related equipment, and communicate verbally and in writing. Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment up to 25 pounds may be required. The role may also involve bending, reaching, or kneeling when setting up or troubleshooting hardware. Visual acuity is necessary for prolonged use of computer monitors and diagnosing technical issues.
