You’ll join the IT – Operations department as part of a global team of software and support engineers. Your focus will be on learning and assisting with the security and hosting models of our Azure cloud infrastructure. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, India, through our partner Greaves Technologies, with the chance to collaborate with teams across Norway, Denmark, USA, and the UK.
Role: DevOps Engineer Trainee
As an DevOps Engineer Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience with CI/CD processes, Azure cloud infrastructure, and cloud security practices. You'll support the team in maintaining the stability and performance of our cloud-based digital solutions.
The initial job contract is for six months. Will be considered for permanent position based on performance.
What You’ll Learn and Contribute To:
- Basics of cloud computing and how Microsoft Azure is used in enterprise environments
- Supporting the implementation of security measures in Azure
- Assisting in creating and managing cloud infrastructure, serverless computing, and containerized applications
- Working with CI/CD pipelines using tools Azure DevOps
- Learning about disaster recovery and business continuity in cloud-based systems
- Understanding Azure-native services like App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Participating in performance monitoring and cost optimization efforts
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Familiarity with scripting or coding (e.g., Python, PowerShell, YAML)
- Eagerness to learn about DevOps practices, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
