Acquisition NexGen is currently in search of a Secret Cleared Sr. AWS Engineer for a large Federal Consulting Firm in VA.
Qualified Candidates MUST HAVE an Active Secret Security Clearance. This opportunity will allow candidates to further upgrade their Clearance-level to Top Secret.
This is a Hybrid position, and candidates must be available to occasionally work onsite in Tysons Corner, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions within AWS GovCloud.
Develop, maintain, and optimize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates to streamline cloud infrastructure deployment.
Implement and enforce security controls to ensure full compliance with DoD standards and best practices.
Optimize cloud environments for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to support cloud migration initiatives.
Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues to maintain system stability and availability.
Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and integration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile environment to deliver cloud-based solutions.
Create and maintain documentation of cloud architectures, standards, and operational procedures.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide critical production system support.
Qualifications:
An Active Secret Security Clearance.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform or similar.
Strong knowledge of AWS security services and compliance requirements (especially DoD IL4, IL5 and IL6).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, PowerShell).
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of networking concepts and security protocols.
Experience working in classified environments.
Preferred Skills:
Experience w/ Cloud Automation techniques.
Proficiency in major programming language, such as Python, Java, etc.
Knowledge of NIST security frameworks.
Experience with automated testing frameworks.
Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
DoD/Federal government experience.
