DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer (Fintech)
Location: New York City (Hybrid)
Compensation: $180,000 – $220,000 base + equity + full benefits (401K, healthcare, etc.)
About Our Client
Our client is an innovative B2B infrastructure software company (on-prem solution) providing real-time orchestration and transaction management across traditional and digital assets. Their platform enables multi-asset businesses (such as exchanges, asset managers, trading firms, and fintechs) to integrate digital assets into existing workflows and transact seamlessly across diverse asset and cash systems with powerful automation and real-time data.
The software removes fragmentation across backend systems and disparate tech stacks/interfaces.
Outcomes Delivered:
- Digital Asset Capabilities: Businesses gain the ability to operate digital asset processes without prior experience (e.g., fiat-to-stablecoin payments/conversions, wallet rebalancing, netted settlements with multiple market makers, sweeping/consolidation, batched withdrawals, etc).
- Programmable Actions: Keep existing systems while configuring and automating new transaction types — USD > X, buy MMF, or move ETH above threshold to a staking service.
- Unified Asset Management: Transact diverse asset types the same way across systems, with a unified, real-time view of ownership data for all parent-child accounts.
- Cost Savings & Revenue Opportunities: Improve operational efficiency, reduce transaction costs, optimize treasury management, and unlock monetization of new services.
The leadership team includes veterans from BlackRock, Google, Celo, Wanchain, AmDocs, JP Morgan, Amazon, Kraken, Lukka, XBTO, HSBC, Blackstone, Microsoft, Bestow Insurance, BAE Systems/NASA.
Advisors include the former CFO of Goldman Sachs, former CEO of Google, former Head of the OCC, former Head of the NY Fed, as well as leaders from Coinbase, Digital Asset, VMWare, SWIFT, Stripe, Wise, and Block.

The company is seeking a DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer to join its engineering team. You’ll be responsible for building, deploying, and supporting enterprise fintech software solutions for global clients. This is a high-impact role driving automation, operational excellence, and secure deployment practices — spanning on-prem infrastructure and cloud-agnostic environments (AWS preferred). You’ll collaborate closely with both application development and customer teams.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, Docker containerization, and Terraform modules to automate provisioning, scaling, and monitoring.
- Build, operate, and improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions or similar); automate release workflows and quality checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across infrastructure, deployment, and application runtime layers.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Establish and document best practices for deployments, upgrades, backup, and disaster recovery for customer environments.
- Write and maintain clear customer-facing documentation for deployment, troubleshooting, and operations.
- Support pre-sales and post-sales technical engagements, including incident resolution and client communications.
- Implement and enforce release management processes (e.g., change logs, rollback, staged deployments).
- Stay current on fintech infrastructure security, compliance, and operational best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fintech and digital asset payments environments is required.
- 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles, ideally at a B2B enterprise/fintech software company.
- Proven expertise in deploying and supporting enterprise software on-prem, with cloud-agnostic design skills (AWS preferred).
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Helm, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC (Terraform).
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks.
- Proficiency in Linux administration, networking, and site reliability practices.
- Deep knowledge of software release processes, monitoring, and incident response.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to create detailed customer documentation.
- Strong foundation in security best practices, including secret/key management solutions and HSMs.
- Experience with certifications and regulatory requirements (Vulnerability scanning, IAM, CIS Kubernetes Benchmarks, SOC2, ISO 27001, etc).
- Knowledge of traffic management, routing, authentication/authorization, RBAC, monitoring, and versioning at the gateway level.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities across complex systems.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with additional cloud providers (Azure, GCP), infrastructure-as-code tools (Pulumi), and secrets management solutions.
- Application development experience in JS/TS or Rust (or eagerness to learn).
