Overview of job/day to day:
- Manage DevOps-focused work for multiple projects, including software deployment, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipeline support.
- Research and plan system architecture and automation to support in-house-developed applications, platforms, and analytics products.
- Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and cross-functional staff to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Maintain and optimize hybrid infrastructure (on-premise and Azure cloud).
- Support Linux-based environments; strong preference for Linux over Windows expertise.
- Oversee release management, monitoring, and capacity planning for critical systems.
- Mentor team members on DevOps tools, problem-solving techniques, and best practices.
- Participate in occasional on-site work (e.g., data center deployments).

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Strong and proven Hands-on experience in an Open-Source Technical Stack for an On-Prem environment
- Linux
- PostgreSQL
- Python to automate infrastructure / Ansible
- Patching servers, configuring
- Decision-Making experience and Confidence // Flexible - Agile, or Start-up environments preferred
- Hands-on experience with Azure (primary cloud) and ideally hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + cloud).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools for automation, CI/CD, and monitoring (specific tools not named).
- Experience implementing, integrating, and troubleshooting DevOps toolsets.
- Comfort managing both on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with both Azure and AWS (AWS experience is transferable but less ideal).
- Cloud automation and deployment experience (hybrid setup).
- Understanding of PostgreSQL and database integration environments (nice to have).
- Familiarity with networking, infrastructure security, and containerization (implied).
