I. Job Summary
We are seeking a
Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based solutions on AWS. This role requires a strong technical foundation in cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, and Kubernetes, combined with the ability to mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with a passion for building scalable, secure, and resilient systems that enable innovation and agility across teams.
II. Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the DevOps and engineering teams.
- Champion Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and promote automation-first practices.
- Drive adoption of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous monitoring solutions.
- Architect, deploy, and manage Kubernetes workloads (EKS) and Dockerized applications.
- Create and manage Helm charts, reusable templates, and deployment libraries.
- Implement security best practices, including IAM governance and secure deployment models.
- Oversee system monitoring, performance tuning, and incident response using Datadog, Splunk, and CloudWatch.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure goals with product and business objectives.
- Lead initiatives to optimize cost, enhance reliability, and improve operational efficiency across cloud environments.
III. Years Of Experience
6 – 9 years of relevant hands-on experience with cloud engineering, AWS infrastructure, and DevOps practices.
IV. Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer certification preferred.
Must Have
V. Skill Set Required:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS in a production environment.
- Expertise in Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and Terraform (IaC).
- Proficiency with Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and shell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk).
- Proficiency in Python or equivalent scripting language.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps environments with cross-functional collaboration.
Nice To Have
- Experience managing large-scale multi-account AWS environments, including IAM and federated SSO.
- Familiarity with CDN providers (e.g., Akamai).
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence decisions.
- Experience in implementing logging, alerting, and cost optimization strategies.
- Proven ability to work independently and drive cloud modernization initiatives.
