DevOps Engineer
Location: Onsite – Mumbai
Reports to: CTO
Network Science is a global AI innovation platform powering enterprise AI transformation through a metric-backward approach. With 150+ AI projects delivered and a curated ecosystem of 70+ deep-tech startups, we help enterprises move from AI ambition to measurable business outcomes. We have created grounds up AI solutions for our esteemed global clients along with our Enterprise AI productivity suite.
As we scale, we are building a core technology platform, not one-off applications. For that, we are looking for a DevOps engineer. If you enjoy building real-world AI systems, making trade-offs with clarity, and building solutions that survive enterprise complexity, this role is for you.
What You Will Own
Platform Reliability & Scalability
- Design, build, and maintain high-availability, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure
- Own production environments across AWS / Azure / GCP with clear SLAs and SLOs
- Ensure platform resilience through redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery planning
CI/CD & Automation
- Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines that are fast, deterministic, and observable
- Eliminate manual steps through infrastructure-as-code and workflow automation
- Enable engineering teams to ship faster without compromising stability
Cloud & Containerization
- Deploy and manage workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
- Optimize container orchestration for cost, performance, and reliability
- Manage secrets, configs, and environment isolation properly (no shortcuts)
Infrastructure as Code
- Build reproducible infrastructure using Terraform / CloudFormation / ARM
- Version, review, and test infrastructure like application code
- Enforce consistency across environments (dev, staging, prod)
Observability & Incident Response
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident improvements
- Reduce mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to recover (MTTR)
Security & Compliance
- Embed security into pipelines (DevSecOps mindset)
- Manage IAM, network security, encryption, and compliance controls
- Ensure enterprise clients can trust our platform with their data
What We Expect You to Be Good At
Technical Depth
- 1-3 years of hands-on DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering experience
- Strong Linux fundamentals and networking concepts
- Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider
- Real-world Kubernetes experience (not just YAML familiarity)
Engineering Mindset
- You design systems, not just configure tools
- You think in failure modes, not happy paths
- You automate first, document second, repeat never
Collaboration
- Work closely with backend, frontend, and AI engineers
- Translate business requirements into infrastructure decisions
- Push back when reliability or security is at risk
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- High empathy with high performance — you care about quality AND outcomes.
- Deep ownership mindset: you love fixing problems before they are noticed.
What We Offer
- Ownership of mission-critical enterprise platforms
- Exposure to AI-first, data-heavy systems at scale
- A culture that values engineering judgment over hierarchy
- The freedom to build things the right way — and the accountability that comes with it
