Senior DevOps Engineer Experience: 8+ Years Location: Pune Work Mode: On-Site ABOUT THE ROLE: DevOps Engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing pipelines, debugging deployment issues, creating monitoring dashboards by integrating API statuses and application logs. To be successful in this role, you should have experience creating IaaC. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive engineering teams to converge towards SecDevOps best practices around cloud native applications, Kubernetes, and other SaaS/IaaS platforms
- Understand customer requirements and project KPIs
- Implement development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Set up tools and required infrastructure
- Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations
- Review, verify, and validate software code developed in the project
- Monitor processes during the entire lifecycle for adherence; update or create processes for improvement and waste minimization
- Encourage and build automated processes wherever possible
- Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessments and risk management
- Incident management and root cause analysis
- Coordinate and communicate within the team and with customers
- Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and continuous deployment pipelines (CI/CD)
- Monitor and measure customer experience and KPIs
- Manage periodic reporting on progress to management and customers
- Assess and prioritize customer/product requests
- Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills MUST HAVE
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps
- Deep understanding of Linux, networking, CI/CD, and large cluster management and automation
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Python or Go
- Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure Cloud Services (VPC, EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, etc.)
- Ability to draw and explain AWS architectures
- Experience with IaaC tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Salt
- Solid understanding of DevOps concepts
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
- Ability to work well in a team
- Knowledge of automation trends for operational security processes (e.g., Vulnerability Management, Change Management)
- Champion CI/CD methodology and tooling for containerized and non-containerized applications (Jenkins, ArgoCD, GoCD, etc.)
- Collaborate with SREs, L2/Support, and Developers in deployment and scaling of new product features
- Develop tools to improve rapid deployment and effective monitoring of production applications at scale in Linux environments
- Proven experience in Linux systems administration
- Container orchestration experience: Kubernetes/Mesos/Docker Swarm PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
- Understanding of continuous integration practices
