Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for development and production environments, optimizing for speed, reliability, and security
- Drive end-to-end automation across the software development lifecycle, including builds, testing, provisioning, and deployments
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python and other scripting languages
- Define and uphold Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for DevOps pipelines to ensure efficient, high-quality software delivery
- Implement and manage comprehensive observability systems, including monitoring, logging, and alerting for production environments
- Integrate development and operations tools to create seamless, automated workflows
- Design and implement continuous process improvements to enhance DevOps efficiency, scalability, and performance
- Collaborate closely with Development, QA, and Infrastructure teams to ensure smooth, reliable software releases
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline and deployment issues across all environments
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Ensure security and compliance throughout CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Mentor and guide DevOps engineers, fostering best practices in automation, observability, and operational excellence
- Stay current with emerging DevOps technologies and evaluate new tools and methodologies for continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 4–7 years of total experience within DevOps
- Strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
- Proficiency in Python and scripting for automation
- Solid understanding of version control (Git) and build systems (Maven, Gradle, npm, yarn)
- Proven experience integrating diverse development and operations tools for automated workflows
- Deep understanding of observability principles and hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS
- Hands on Experience with AWS cloud platforms
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and team leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
- Experience with Kafka or other event-driven platforms
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security integration in CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with performance testing and deployment optimization
- Experience with incident management and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Contributions to open-source DevOps tools or frameworks
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or equivalent
