Title: Cloud Security Engineer
Location: Manassas, VA(Hybrid F2F Interview)
Duration: 6+ months
Job Description:
- Analyze cloud security non-compliances to determine their root causes.
- Define solutions to address the root causes of non-compliance. Evaluate security exceptions and risk scenarios.
- Work with the Cloud Platform Security Engineering team to design and integrate into day-by-day operation (operationalize) new cloud security features and services.
- Support workloads (application and infrastructure security) in their migration to cloud.
- Build an understanding of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations management process, related controls, and key roles and responsibilities.
- Create and maintain engineering and architectural documents.
- Translate requirements and root cause remediations into Agile epic and user stories or work items for the cloud security engineering team, and cloud platform/workload engineers and developers.
- Engage and work directly with application owners, onboard users to cloud security tools, provide user support, perform user acceptance tests, and troubleshoot cloud tool issues.
- Design automation to solve repeatable scenarios.
- Requirements:
- 2-days / week onsite in Manassas starting day 1
- ~5-years’ experience with AWS Cloud Security (~5-years will be good for any of it)
- PURE Security (PLEASE DO NOT send someone who is DevOps)
- Cloud Security Hands-on Engineering is 1/3 of the job; Cloud Security Operations/Communications is 2/3 of the job
- MUST know Security Tools in AWS (Azure and google are okay, but MOST will be AWS)
- When ‘anyone’ in the company asks for a fix, this person must raise their hand to work/communicate with the user, tackle it and get it fixed (on their own – not having to be asked)
- Will work with everyone: Global Cloud Security, Risk Mgmt, Application Teams, etc.
- They will have daily stand-ups – issues will be discussed – this person will resolve these issues
- Requires A LOT of communication and organization skills

Interviews:
- One 30-minute MS Teams w/ Manager
- One In-person, onsite panel Interview
- There will be one meet & greet w/ the “hiring manager” (since the re-org, he’s responsible for finding and working with this team, but he is not given the budget to ‘hire’)
