Role Overview
We are seeking a
DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise to design, deploy, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The role requires hands-on experience with
Azure services, Infrastructure as Code, automation, monitoring, and security, along with exposure to containerized environments and DevOps best practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
Azure Infrastructure & Cloud Management (Primary Focus)
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure resources including VMs, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, App Services, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Managed Identities, and identity governance.
- Implement Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery (DR), and high availability architectures.
- Design and manage Azure Landing Zones aligned with the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
Security & Compliance
- Configure and manage Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, and security rules.
- Implement Azure Policy, Blueprints, and governance controls to meet regulatory and organizational compliance.
- Use Microsoft Defender for Cloud (Azure Security Center) for threat detection and vulnerability management.
- Coordinate vulnerability assessments (VAPT) and support remediation activities.
DevOps, CI/CD & Automation
- Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using ARM Templates, Terraform, and Azure CLI.
- Develop PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts for operational automation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Implement Azure Automation for patching, scaling, and scheduled tasks.
Containerization & Modern Platforms
- Build and manage containerized workloads using Docker.
- Deploy and maintain Kubernetes (AKS) clusters and Helm charts.
- Collaborate with application teams to ensure smooth integration with cloud-native services.
Monitoring, Reporting & Operations
- Configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for observability.
- Integrate monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog where applicable.
- Generate daily/weekly health, performance, and availability reports.
- Troubleshoot production issues across cloud, network, and application layers.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with project owners, developers, and security teams on architecture reviews and SDLC compliance.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
- Continuously optimize cost, performance, scalability, and automation across Azure environments.
Experience
Key Skills & Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE, with strong exposure to Microsoft Azure.
Technical Skills
- Cloud Platforms: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (AWS exposure is a plus).
- Azure Services: Azure IaaS & PaaS, Networking, AAD, Backup, DR, Monitoring.
- Infrastructure as Code: ARM Templates, Terraform.
- CI/CD: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), Helm.
- Monitoring & Logging: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
- Scripting: PowerShell (mandatory), Bash or Python.
- Version Control: Git.
- Security: Cloud security best practices, RBAC, policies, and compliance controls.
