Role Overview
We are looking for a Founding Platform & DevOps Engineer to be the first dedicated platform hire and own the design, build, and evolution of our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This role is critical to enabling scalable, secure, and cost-efficient delivery of GenAI evaluation platforms, internal AI frameworks, and client-facing environments.
This is a hands-on, zero-to-one role. You will define standards, make architectural decisions, and build the foundation that future platform and engineering teams will grow on.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and own the cloud infrastructure for internal platforms and client deployments
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for:
- AI evaluation workflows
- Model and RAG-based applications
- Internal tools and dashboards
- Own environment management (dev, staging, client sandbox, prod)
- Implement security best practices:
- Secrets management
- IAM and access controls
- Network security
- Set up observability (logs, metrics, alerts) across platforms
- Optimize cost, performance, and reliability of AI workloads
- Enable repeatable deployments for managed services and pilots
- Collaborate closely with:
- Product and ML engineers
- AI QA and evaluation teams
- Client-facing delivery teams
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 5–8+ years in DevOps / Platform / Infrastructure Engineering
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong experience with:
- CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of:
- Linux systems
- Networking fundamentals
- Containerization (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus)
- Experience supporting production systems, not just POCs
Good-to-Have
- Experience supporting ML / GenAI workloads
- Familiarity with model serving, batch jobs, or evaluation pipelines
- Exposure to observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.)
- Experience in early-stage or fast-growing teams
