Responsibilities
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment pipelines using Gitlab and Terraform
- Generate and review merge requests to ensure quality and adhere to established DevOps/IaC best practices
- Contribute as a proactive member of an agile team focusing on IaC engineering
- Mentor and collaborate within an application development team to embed engineering expertise
- Prepare and execute an effective transition strategy from on-premises to cloud solutions
Skills
- Proven experience with Terraform for deploying infrastructure as code
- Deep understanding of Gitlab for pipeline creation and repository management
- Proficiency in BASH scripting for automation tasks
- Competence in IAM and Secrets Management for access control and security
- Expertise in ECS for scalable containerized applications
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with container image building and container orchestration
- Understanding of multi-account governance strategies using Landing Zone
- Knowledge of Gitlab branching strategies for efficient workflow management
- Experience deploying applications across multiple regions with strategies like blue/green deployments
- Insight into FinOps practices for cloud financial management
