Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Cloud Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will assist in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to support cloud environments, ensure system reliability, and help optimize performance and security.
This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build hands-on experience in cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking)
- Monitor cloud systems to ensure performance, availability, and security
- Support cloud migration projects and application deployments
- Help troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues
- Maintain documentation for cloud configurations and procedures
- Implement basic security and compliance best practices
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams
- Participate in system upgrades and patch management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with operating systems (Linux/Windows)
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls)
- Understanding of virtualization and cloud concepts
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with cloud services (via labs, projects, or internships)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, or Google Associate Cloud Engineer)
