Job Summary
As a DevOps Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing DevOps practices across multiple projects. You will leverage your expertise in leading DevOps technologies to build robust CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and mentor teams to enhance competencies. This position requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record of bridging skill gaps in large teams while ensuring seamless delivery and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects using tools like Azure DevOps (ADO), Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Lead infrastructure automation using Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources specially Azure
- Develop and automate scripts for deployment, monitoring, and configuration management using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Mentor and guide large cross-functional teams (10+ members) in adopting DevOps best practices, bridging competency gaps through training sessions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing workshops.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate DevOps tools and processes, reducing deployment times and improving system resilience.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, implementing observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
- Troubleshoot complex issues in production environments and implement preventive measures.
- Stay updated with emerging DevOps trends and technologies, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security standards (IaC security scanning) and best practices in all DevOps activities.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles, with at least 2-3 years in a lead or senior capacity.
- Expert-level knowledge of leading DevOps technologies, including Azure DevOps (ADO), Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Helm.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation scripting in Python, Bash, or similar.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure) and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic).
- Leadership and Mentorship: Proven experience mentoring large teams, conducting skill assessments, and implementing training programs to bridge competency gaps.
- Experience in mentoring teams in high-pressure, fast-paced settings.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle complex, multi-project environments with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Certifications: Good to have an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Terraform Associate.
