UltraViolet Cyber is currently seeking a AWS Cloud Engineer with experience supporting large customers and/or Federal customers in the Washington DC area. This is a thrilling opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in cloud computing and the Google Cloud Platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting cybersecurity applications or infrastructure.
The role will support a federal agency and require US Citizenship and a Federal background investigation.
Obtaining a
Public Trust Clearance is necessary.
Hybrid Schedule, Partial Telework: This position requires 1 day per week in Arlington, VA.
No third-party candidates will be considered.
Work You'll Do:
- Design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot AWS Cloud Solutions
- Assist in evaluating various cloud technologies, executing PoCs, and ensuring proper solutions are selected
- Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentation skills.
- Integration with other cloud providers including AWS and Azure.
- Excellent ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to anticipate customer requirements and build strategic plans.
- Accountable and responsible: a self-starter, self-motivated, focused, and self-sufficient.
- Experience with infrastructure management and support and system administration in Windows and UNIX environments.
- Familiarity with system security concepts and mitigation strategies such as POAMs and vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Cloud Environments with a bachelor's degree or 7 years of experience without a degree.
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
- A minimum of 3 year of experience supporting AWS and/or Azure.
- AWS Certifications
US Citizenship is required, and candidates must be willing to undergo a US Government background investigation.
- Obtaining Public Trust clearance is necessary.
