About the Role:
Novetum is hiring a DevOps Intern for a 6-month, work-from-office internship. This role is meant for a recent graduate or an early-career candidate who already has strong practical understanding of AWS, deployment workflows, and environment management.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Handle application deployments, release coordination, rollback support, and environment readiness.
- Support and manage AWS infrastructure and services used by the company.
- Monitor cloud systems, application availability, logs, alerts, and operational health.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Work on automation for deployments, provisioning, routine maintenance, backups, and operational tasks.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, server, access, and environment-related issues.
- Manage Linux-based systems, user permissions, access controls, and operational configurations.
- Support internal tools and systems, including Microsoft Office 365 administration and related user/system management.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployments, runbooks, access, and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with developers and stakeholders to ensure smooth and stable releases across environments.
- Follow security, backup, monitoring, and operational best practices across AWS resources and internal systems.
Required Profile:
- Recent graduate or early-career candidate with strong understanding of DevOps concepts and practical exposure to real environments.
- Strong understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, VPC, Route 53, and related core services.
- Strong understanding of deployment flows across dev, test, staging, and production environments.
- Good hands-on knowledge of Linux administration and server operations.
- Good working knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and hands-on exposure to tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Ability to write basic to intermediate automation scripts using Bash, Shell, or Python.
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, alerting, access control, and operational troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and solve issues in a structured way.
- Good communication skills and documentation discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates who have completed a serious DevOps, Cloud, or AWS course will be preferred.
- Candidates with relevant certifications will be preferred.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or stronger AWS/DevOps-focused certifications.
- Exposure to Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, or Ansible will be a strong advantage.
- Experience with internal IT systems, access management, or Microsoft Office 365 administration will be an added advantage.
