We’re looking for a Senior Site Reliability / DevOps Engineer to join a major production management transformation programme within a global investment bank. This role sits firmly at the intersection of software engineering, reliability, and operational excellence, focused on modernising how critical banking systems are built, deployed, and operated.
We are specifically looking for a hands-on engineer with a strong software engineering background - someone who is comfortable writing code, building systems, and solving complex technical problems in a highly regulated, large-scale environment.
You’ll play a key role in establishing engineering best practices, driving automation, and embedding a DevOps culture across mission-critical financial platforms.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead hands-on engineering efforts across production management and reliability platforms
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, automated solutions to improve system reliability
- Drive CI/CD and Continuous Delivery practices across critical applications
- Conduct deep technical root cause analysis and performance tuning
- Champion DevOps, SRE, and Agile best practices across engineering teams
Experience
- Strong experience in SRE, DevOps, or Production Engineering roles
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Proven software engineering background, with the ability to design and build systems end-to-end (e.g. Python, Java, or similar)
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience operating high-availability, large-scale distributed systems
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling
- Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum or Kanban)
If you're a hands-on software engineer with deep SRE/DevOps experience and a passion for reliability, automation, and large-scale systems, we’d love to hear from you.
