We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps / Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and drive DevOps excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud platforms, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Databricks, along with the ability to lead architecture decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture
- Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS (or Azure/GCP)
- Architect and provision Databricks workspaces for data and analytics workloads
- Ensure best practices in security, performance, and cost optimisation
- Provide technical leadership in cloud architecture and infrastructure design
CI/CD & Automation
- Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines
- Automate testing, deployment, and release management
- Optimise build and deployment workflows for reliability and efficiency
- Integrate security scanning and quality gates into pipelines
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or similar tools
- Implement automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Ensure consistency across dev, staging, and production environments
DevOps & Operational Excellence
- Drive DevOps culture and best practices across teams
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Lead automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance deployment processes
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering / Cloud Architecture
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proven experience with Databricks workspace provisioning and management
- Expertise in CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, CircleCI
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Ansible)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and compliance
Professional Experience
- Strong background in Cloud Engineering / Architecture
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Proven track record of implementing DevOps practices at enterprise scale
- Exposure to databases and data platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP Architect level)
- Databricks certifications
- Experience with monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and security best practices
- Experience with GitOps workflows
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
- Experience in regulated industries (Financial Services, Healthcare, Public Sector)
