Position Summary
Our client, who is in the technology space, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their growing platform organization. This person will serve as a senior technical contributor focused on strengthening cloud infrastructure, expanding DevOps capabilities, and improving engineering processes across a modern Azure-based environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is deeply hands-on, brings strong experience building Kubernetes environments from the ground up, and can help introduce structure, documentation, and repeatable processes to a fast-moving team. You will work closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and product innovation teams to support platform scalability, automation, and modernization initiatives.
This position will also play a key role in enabling the organization’s broader AI-forward transformation by building the infrastructure, deployment practices, and operational maturity needed to support modern engineering workflows and next-generation product development.
This is a hybrid role with a preference for candidates in the Denver area who can work onsite approximately one day per week.
- ResponsibilitiesLead the design, support, and ongoing enhancement of cloud infrastructure primarily within Azure and AKS environments.
- Build, maintain, and improve Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks using Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows across engineering teams.
- Advance GitOps and deployment automation practices to improve scalability, consistency, and reliability.
- Automate configuration management and operational processes across Linux and Windows-based systems using tools such as Ansible.
- Strengthen monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting practices across distributed systems and containerized workloads.
- Partner closely with DevOps, product, and innovation teams to support platform needs and remove capacity constraints.
- Document processes, establish standards, and help build more mature DevOps operating practices across the organization.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other engineers as the team grows.
- Support production issues and help troubleshoot complex platform or infrastructure problems in a hands-on capacity.
- Partner with engineering and product innovation teams to build the platform foundations needed to support emerging AI-enabled development and delivery initiatives.
- Help establish scalable infrastructure, automation, and operational practices that enable rapid experimentation while maintaining security, stability, and reliability.
- Minimum Experience5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or similar technically intensive roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud environments.
- Deep expertise with Kubernetes, including building and supporting environments from the ground up.
- Experience working with microservices architectures in production.
- Advanced experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.
- Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Strong Linux knowledge and scripting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues.
- Exposure to AI-enabled engineering workflows, modern developer productivity tooling, or teams undergoing AI-driven transformation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Experience creating or improving processes, documentation, and operational standards rather than simply following existing frameworks.
- Additional PlusExperience working in startup, high-growth, or transformation-focused environments.
- Exposure to both Linux and Windows infrastructure.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.
- Background with observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with container registries, image pipelines, or vulnerability scanning.
- Interest in mentoring others and growing into leadership responsibilities over time.
- Experience working in services-based organizations or other environments that require strong client-facing or cross-functional communication.
Salary / Wage Range
$160,000 - $170,000 / Year
