Job Description
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes-based environments. This role involves managing enterprise-scale DevOps platforms, building reusable workflows, and supporting secure, scalable deployment infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and maintain GitHub Actions workflows, including reusable and enterprise-standard workflows
- Administer GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES), including self-hosted runners, autoscaling, and secure execution environments
- Create and manage GitHub Apps at the enterprise level
- Support CI/CD pipelines for applications developed in Java, Python, and Node.js (experience with .NET and Go is a plus)
- Implement automation and integrations using GitHub REST and GraphQL APIs, GitHub CLI, and scripting languages
- Manage and monitor Kubernetes clusters, including:
- Cluster layout and architecture
- Resource allocation and storage management
- Monitoring and optimization of pods, nodes, and namespaces
- Administer Kubernetes using tools such as kubectl, Helm, and Rancher
- Ensure platform reliability through upgrade planning, disaster recovery, replication, and performance optimization
Required Qualifications
Must Have
- 7+ years of experience administering GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES)
- Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, including self-hosted runners
- Experience creating and managing enterprise GitHub Apps
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java for automation
- Experience with GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS)
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Deep knowledge of Source Control Management (SCM) and GitHub workflows
- Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps best practices
Nice to Have
- Experience with .NET and Go source code
- Familiarity with Terraform and Ansible
- Cloud experience with GitHub Cloud and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
