What This Role Really Is
You’re not here to “manage servers.”
You’re here to
own uptime, scalability, and reliability — end to end.
When something crashes → you fix it.
When something slows down → you optimize it.
When something doesn’t exist → you build it.
No hand-holding. No silos. Just ownership.
What You’ll Own (Core Responsibilities)
Infrastructure & Cloud
- Architect and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, Load Balancers, Route53, CloudFront, etc.)
- Design systems that scale under pressure and don’t fail silently
Containerization & Orchestration
- Run and optimize Docker + Kubernetes workloads
- Ensure deployments are repeatable, reliable, and fast
CI/CD & Automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Automate everything that shouldn’t be manual
- Ship faster without breaking things
Monitoring, Logging & Reliability
- Set up deep observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch)
- Track everything that matters — ignore everything that doesn’t
- Own uptime, latency, and system health
Databases & Systems
- Work with Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ
- Ensure high availability, backups, and performance tuning
Infrastructure as Code
- Use Terraform to build reproducible, scalable infra
- No manual setups. Ever.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7 years in DevOps / SRE / Infra roles
- Strong hands-on with AWS ecosystem
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
- Solid scripting skills (Shell / Python)
- You think in systems, not tasks
Good to Have (But We’ll Know If You’re Faking It)
- AWS Lambda, CloudFormation
- Nginx, Apache, Tomcat
- Jira or similar tools
- Understanding of system design patterns
