MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers in the Azure Government cloud
Design, implement, and manage Azure networking components including virtual networks,
subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN/ExpressRoute, load balancers, and routing

Description
Build and manage Azure infrastructure using DevOps practices and infrastructure‑as‑code
tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions
•
Support secure and reliable connectivity across Azure Commercial and Azure IL5 / IL6
environments, including hybrid integrations
•
Utilize automation tools like Ansible or PowerShell scripts to streamline repetitive admin
tasks (provisioning new servers, configuring roles/features, or backing up system
configurations)
•
Monitor system performance, CPU, memory, disk usage and event logs via Azure Monitor
or custom scripts
•
Respond to alerts and conduct root cause analysis for any downtime or performance
degradation
•
• Maintain data backups and recovery procedures for critical systems
• Address all vulnerabilities identified via system scanning
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, or equivalent experience
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field (or equivalent professional
experience) is preferred
•
Experience:
• 3+ years of related experience required
10+ years of related experience preferred, with at least 5+ years of preferred experience in
database and data management
•
Required Skills:
• Senior Level system administrator skills required in Linux/Windows environments
• Experience using Azure Active Directory and Azure Monitor
Strong Azure networking skills: VNets, NSGs, routing, Azure Firewall, load balancing,
ExpressRoute/VPN
•Proficiency with IaC and DevOps tooling (Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, GitHub
Actions)
•Understanding of CI/CD concepts and secure pipeline development in controlled cloud
environments
• Advanced knowledge using Ansible or PowerShell scripts
Preferred Certification(s):
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)
• Microsoft Certified: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (AZ-305)
• Other work-dependent certifications a plus
Preferred Skills:
• Extensive knowledge of Azure Cloud services
• Familiarity with Cloud based Database systems
• Experience using MS Visio for updating diagrams
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience working in Federal or State government environments
• Ability to work independently and remotely
