DevOps and AWS Infrastructure Engineer — Contract
We are a behavioral intelligence division of a already existing marketing company building a proprietary computer vision pipeline for deployment at premium live events. We are seeking an experienced contract DevOps and AWS Infrastructure Engineer to own the cloud execution environment for our Phase 1 batch-processing system.
What you will build:
You will architect and deliver the infrastructure layer that enables our CV/ML pipeline to run reliably in the cloud. This includes S3 ingestion infrastructure keyed to event and camera ID, an event-driven orchestration layer using AWS Batch and Step Functions triggered by S3 uploads, full Dockerization of a GPU-accelerated Python pipeline using an NVIDIA base image with validated passthrough, and output routing to structured S3 prefixes on job completion.
Logging hygiene is a hard requirement on this engagement. Production logs must never surface raw spatial data. You will enforce a strict LOG_LEVEL environment variable and ensure CloudWatch receives no raw coordinate arrays or tracklet identifiers.
You are the right fit if you have:
Demonstrated experience with AWS Batch, Step Functions, ECR, and IAM least-privilege role design. Solid Docker containerization skills, including GPU passthrough validation and local execution support for a CV/ML development loop. Familiarity with Python dependency pinning for ML stacks (ultralytics, opencv, boto3, torchreid). Experience building event-driven pipelines using S3 Event Notifications — no custom EC2 polling scripts, no Python managing compute-state failures.
What this is not:
This role does not involve application-level ML logic. The CV/ML engineer owns the Python pipeline inside the container. You own the container, the orchestration, and everything that moves data into and out of it.
Engagement details:
This is a short-term contract engagement with a defined deliverable scope. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Please apply with a brief description of a comparable AWS infrastructure project you have delivered.
