Role Overview:
We are seeking a senior Azure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the firm’s Microsoft Azure cloud environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the high availability, security, and performance of legal applications and infrastructure, contributing significantly to the firm’s growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage the firm's Azure cloud infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and security.
- Integrate Azure with on-premises systems and legal applications in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Administer Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) with a focus on identity governance, access controls, and security configurations.
- Implement cloud security controls aligned with industry standards and legal compliance.
- Support Azure Virtual Machines, networking, storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep, along with scripting languages like PowerShell and Azure CLI.
- Monitor system performance, optimize costs, and ensure high system availability.
- Ensure high availability of cloud-hosted legal platforms, including document and practice management systems.
- Collaborate with security and IT teams to maintain compliant, secure operations.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity efforts.
- Support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) workloads in Azure, including patching and performance tuning.
- Coordinate with vendors and support cloud governance and security audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years supporting large-scale infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Proven expertise in Azure architecture, including compute, networking, identity, and governance.
- Hands-on experience managing hybrid cloud environments and integrating on-premises systems with Azure.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) preferred.
- Strong security background, especially in professional or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring, performance optimization, and Azure cost management tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a collaborative mindset.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with Citrix to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) migrations or VMware migrations.
- Knowledge of legal technology cloud services such as document management or e-discovery platforms.
- Support experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) workloads in Azure.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $140,000 - $160,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits.
