DevOps Engineer #2641

Position Summary:

Our partner is an established IT solutions firm that builds software IT teams rely on to manage and secure systems at scale. As they continue to grow, they are adding a DevOps Engineer to take ownership of their AWS infrastructure and ensure the platform remains scalable, reliable, and stable.

In this environment, you would operate at the infrastructure layer, building and maintaining the foundation that engineering teams depend on. This includes designing and scaling AWS environments, improving system reliability, and solving real production challenges as they arise. The focus is not on pipelines or build systems, but on the underlying infrastructure, compute, networking, storage, and observability that keep everything running in production.

Experience and Education:

BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Arts or equivalent experience/field
Background working in cloud-native environments, preferably AWS-based
Prior work supporting or owning production systems in a SaaS or high-scale environment
Exposure to infrastructure as code practices in real-world environments
Experience working with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools
History of contributing to system reliability, uptime, or performance improvements
Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud networking, or large-scale applications

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Build and manage AWS infrastructure supporting production systems
Create and maintain infrastructure using code-based approaches
Monitor system health using logs, metrics, and alerting tools
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and outages
Improve system reliability, uptime, and performance
Scale infrastructure to support growth across users and regions
Ensure environments are stable and ready for production deployments
Collaborate with engineering teams to support production systems
Automate operational workflows to reduce manual intervention
Analyze system behavior to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
Support secure and compliant infrastructure practices
Maintain visibility into system performance and availability
Contribute to improving infrastructure design and standards
Respond to real-time issues impacting users and services
Help evolve the platform as it grows in scale and complexity
