Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support complex technology implementations in a product‐centric environment. This role bridges development and operations teams, modernizes legacy practices, and equips developers with the tools needed to ensure system uptime, performance, and reliable delivery. The position focuses on cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and containerization in a highly technical environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and configure services using Infrastructure‐as‐a‐Service (IaaS) platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, and OpenStack‐based environments
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux‐based servers supporting dynamic web applications
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and continuous monitoring architectures
- Debug and support cluster‐based and distributed computing environments
- Install, configure, and manage open‐source monitoring and observability tools
- Use configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt
- Leverage containerization technologies including Docker, LXC, or similar platforms
- Write scripts or basic programs to automate processes and resolve system issues
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to align on shared DevOps culture, tooling, and best practices
- Support system uptime, scalability, and performance across environments
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT‐related or Engineering field (or equivalent experience on a year‐for‐year basis)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in complex technology implementations within a product‐centric environment
- Strong experience in systems administration, deployment, and network operations
- Proficiency with Linux server environments
- Hands‐on experience with scripting, coding, and automation
- Experience developing CI/CD and monitoring architectures
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker or similar)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience configuring Linux Slackware web servers
- Ability to create or work with custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, or C code
- Experience developing applications for Android platforms
- Familiarity with modern DevOps automation and orchestration tools
- Experience working in regulated or security‐sensitive environments
